Music by Claude Debusy

Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune the historic version of Amedeo Amodio, from the famous and scandalous ballet by Vaslav Nijinsky (1912) . The music is by Claude Debussy. In a late summer afternoon, a Faun awakens and, together with him, all the senses of his body, half human and half animal primordially linked to the earth. The Amodio ballet was created in 1972, debuting at the Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto. It was later taken up by the Teatro alla Scala in Milan with the same Amodio next to Luciana Savignano, then in Reggio Emilia with the company Aterballetto and, finally, again at La Scala in 1991 with interpreters Luciana Savignano and Gheorghe Iancu.
